University of Illinois Campus Recreation Lighting Upgrade

Glesco Electric, Inc. partnered with Musco Sports Lighting to complete sports lighting upgrades at multiple athletic fields across the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Urbana, Illinois. The project involved the installation of high-performance lighting systems designed to improve field visibility, player safety, and overall athletic performance.

As the electrical contractor, Glesco Electric installed new sports lighting fixtures and supporting electrical infrastructure, including power distribution and system integration with existing campus electrical systems. Work was performed across multiple fields, requiring coordination to maintain consistent lighting performance and reliability throughout the athletic facilities.

The upgraded systems provide uniform illumination and long-term durability, supporting practices, competitions, and events across a large collegiate campus. This project highlights Glesco Electric’s experience delivering sports lighting and outdoor electrical systems for university and athletic facilities throughout Central Illinois.
