Downtown Champaign Neil Street Plaza

Glesco Electric served as the Electrical Contractor for the redevelopment of Neil Street Plaza in downtown Champaign. The project converted a former surface parking lot into a flexible public plaza designed to support daily use, community gatherings, and special events.

Glesco’s scope of work included installing new underground electrical infrastructure, power distribution for plaza amenities, and pedestrian-focused site lighting. Electrical systems were designed to support event power needs, future expansion, and long-term operation in an outdoor, high-traffic environment.
