University of Illinois New Illini Hall

Glesco Electric is providing portions of the electrical installation for the new Illini Hall at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Glesco Electric is providing electrical construction services for the new Illini Hall at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in Urbana, Illinois. The project replaces an existing campus facility and supports the development of a modern academic building with advanced life safety and communication systems.


As the electrical contractor, Glesco Electric is installing fire alarm systems, security and access control systems, Emergency Responder Communication Systems (ERCS), and low-voltage raceway infrastructure throughout the building. These systems are designed to support life safety, campus security, and reliable communication for occupants and first responders.


All work is being completed in coordination with the project team to meet code requirements and ensure seamless integration with the building’s overall design. This project highlights Glesco Electric’s experience in low-voltage systems, life safety infrastructure, and institutional electrical construction across Urbana and Central Illinois.
