Meijer Urbana, IL Remodel

Glesco Electric partnered with Rockford Construction to complete a full-store electrical remodel at the Meijer Store 247 in Urbana, Illinois. The project involved extensive demolition of existing electrical systems and lighting, followed by the installation of new infrastructure throughout the retail space.

As the electrical contractor, Glesco Electric installed updated lighting systems and fire alarm infrastructure while coordinating closely with the construction team to maintain continuous store operations. All work was performed in an active retail environment, requiring detailed phasing, scheduling, and safety coordination.

Crews worked across multiple shifts, including first and third shift, to complete the remodel efficiently while minimizing disruption to customers and staff. The completed upgrades improve lighting performance, safety systems, and overall functionality within the store.
